I took an old vertical smokebox, cut it in half, capped it, added new inside trim, resized the door and hinges, and welded the new smokebox onto the cooking chamber. I also cut a new airflow opening, refinished everything in high-temp black paint, and fabricated a custom rotating sleeve handle to make it much easier to move around.
There’s something satisfying about taking an old piece of equipment that’s seen better days and giving it a new life. If you’ve got an old smoker, grill, trailer, or metal project that means something to you, I’d be happy to help bring it back into service.
